Me Now

Hey ya'll,

I just got an e-mail saying that I may not be in SIT if my medical records aren't up to date... psh. I think there are two guys in my program... one from Slovakia I believe.

Right now, I'm staying at Mark's uncle's house in Da Lat... a freakin' cold mountain town in Vietnam. Who woulddda thought Vietnam could be 50 degrees. Gesh. Mark is staying at his Grandmother's, who's apparently one of the two richest ladies in Da Lat. Mark ruined any chance of my staying there by one time inviting a terrible guest to visit his grandma.

Tonight we went on one of those swan boat rides. It wasn't romantic, but it was nice to sit with him and stare at reflections and talk about nonesense.

Mark and I got in a terrible fight the other week. We placed all the things we hated about each other on the table and are still together.

I stayed and saw his friends again in the city. From what I got out of it, it seemed as though I was a much closer friend to him than all the others. He seemed sorta out-talked whenever he was with them and maybe a bit weaker. At a dinner with all of these people, there was a group of French students. One of the guys made lots of eye contact and then on the taxi ride back, we brushed our legs up against each other a lot. Mark was in the back and I could sense that he was getting frustrated about having caucasion guys around, since I was so attracted to them... He never said anything about it. But everywhere we go where there is a group of people including guys, Mark has to make it known that I'm with him, by having his arm over my chair. It's a sort of possession thing, which kind of bothers me but makes me feel wanted at the same time.

Aww man, it's easy for me not to flirt with guys because they're all Asian here... but my jealousy when it comes to Mark is the fact that he prefers Asians... psgh. During our argument, he asked if I knew how hard it was for him to not flirt with other people? He did it for me and it was such a difficult thing for him to do apparently.

I think we could be something long lasting... I mean, I'm accompanying him to visit his grandma, who's apparently the head of his family. Hopefully she'll like me... yeahh.

I think he's going to visit a cousin of mine when we leave Da Lat, and that's it... I don't want to pressure him into anything. Dudes, it's so strange to be like this with someone and not have said "I love you" officially or anything... mann...

See yah, I'm tired.
